Constructed in the early 1900s, the Dotson School is situated in Tennessee, halfway between Washburn and Thorn Hill. The government claims that this institution was a history school, but other than that, not much is known about it, making it somewhat of a mystery. This 1.5-acre property with a two-room schoolhouse is currently for sale for $29,900.

The Dotson School was one of sixteen "endangered historic sites" that the East Tennessee Preservation Alliance, a group of Tennessee preservationists, designated in 2012. It is one of dozens in Grainger County, but since it is for sale, anyone with thirty thousand dollars might easily buy it and demolish it.
