An architectural conservation organization called DOCOMOMO has called St. Peter's Seminary, a former Roman Catholic institution in Cardross, Argyll, and Bute, Scotland, a "modern building" of "world significance." The seminary was built over five years, starting in 1961 and ending in 1966.

Despite its beauty, the seminary had several problems from the beginning, such as water intrusion, upkeep challenges, and structural faults that the architects and engineers kept blaming each other for. Only a few decades after its founding, the seminary permanently closed in the 1980s due to a drop in the number of those pursuing the priesthood.
