An important event occurred in 1989 for motorcycle enthusiasts: the union of two major motorcycle manufacturers resulted in a motorcycle that could reach speeds of 270 kilometers per hour while generating 145 horsepower. With a displacement of approximately 1003 cc, the engine also had a chain drive and liquid cooling system. One of the factories in Rimini began producing the motorcycle continuously as soon as it became popular. Italian designers were responsible for the style and design of the future creation, while Japanese professionals developed the engine. It was the result of both manufacturers' hard work that one of the fastest motorcycles ever built entered the world market for its time.
