The Ad Trap: Products That Didn't Match the Marketing Hype

9. The tee "I Love London"

Cost: $24.95 Created by: RageOn Acquired via AliExpress The issue with this clothing might not immediately be apparent to the casual observer. It just takes another look, though, to see that something is off with this picture. The Eiffel Tower, a symbol of culture that is unquestionably not in London, is decalmed on this "I Love London" tee.

I Love London T-Shirt | Reddit.com | Pinterest | @u/notyouravrgd The similar decal can be seen on a t-shirt from RageOn (discovered on Google Shopping), however it's unclear if the seller is making a joke out of nowhere or if it's just a mistake due to poor geography. A "I Love London" t-shirt featuring Big Ben or Buckingham Palace would have been more fitting. RageOn Clothing claims to be one of the biggest print clothing retailers in the world. Everything from clothing to home goods to pet supplies is available for everyone. The "I Love London" shirt was probably a joke by a print-on prankster, as there are enormous collections of satirical t-shirts with strange phrases.
