9. Using bleach

Even though we don't use bleach on a daily basis, most of us keep it in our cabinets for emergencies. However, you might want to reconsider if you're in the habit of putting things away for a rainy day. Although bleach doesn't really run out, after three months or so, it starts to lose its disinfecting properties.

This won't really matter if you use it for laundry, but it might be an issue if you use it for household cleaning. Every few months, bleach and other household disinfectants should be changed.
In this manner, you may be certain that the potent cleaning solution you're using to clean the porcelain tub is effective and isn't merely making you queasy. Since bleach is inexpensive as well, it is preferable to take preventative measures in this case.
