Crazy but Brilliant: Japan's One-of-a-Kind Inventions
Japanese restroom via Shutterstock or @supawatbursuk Just behind Finland, Japan is the second-most technologically advanced nation in the world, with the US coming in second. Despite having a population of only 126 million, or 1.7% of the world's total, Japan is a relatively tiny country that has emerged as a leader in the biomedical, scientific, and technology industries. The inventive youth attitude is mostly responsible for this accomplishment, although there are many different explanations for these improvements. For instance, the nation ranks second in the world in math and first in science for academic performance. More than 3.5% of Japan's GDP is allocated to education. This emphasis on academic success extends to the workplace, where Japanese engineers, entrepreneurs, and inventors are continuously developing (and re-developing) fresh, data-supported concepts. You'll find that Japan is currently the only place where some of the world's most inventive ideas are produced.
1. Head of Support
What it is: a desk-based hand headrest that allows you to take naps. Invented in 2015 $40* is the average price. This strange creation seems to be in demand, despite its slightly unsettling appearance. You can take naps at work if you'd like, thanks to the hand-shaped head holder that clips into your desk and can be modified to fit your head. It functions similarly to a third urethane hand.
